Sooooooo

Thought I should update.
Not that anyone reads this.
Just saying.

I tried getting the Disney job for this summer, but that fell through.
My boyfriend broke up with me three weeks ago right when I had one more final to study for.
I saw the new Star Trek movie in theaters.
IT WAS AWESOME!

I'm slowly beginning to realize that God has certain plans for my life and there is nothing I can do to adjust, change, or stop them.

If any of my girls are reading this, I want you to think about Job. He had everything a man could have wanted. He had multiple houses, a wife and like 20 kids. Not to also mention that he had cattle, sheep, goats, and all sorts of other farm animals along with tons of servants.
Then in the course of one evening EVERYTHING was taken away from him. His cattle were killed, his houses destroy, and all his children were killed because they were in one of the houses that were destroyed.
Imagine being in Job's shoes. We know by reading the book that the reason those things happened is because God and Satan had a little Teta te at the beginning. Job didn't know that though. He had no idea why those things happened. All he did was trust God, and not stop believing.
Long story short,
If something bad happens in your life, there is a reason as to why it happened.

OOOOOOH YEAH!!!!!

I am finally done with finals!!! I can now relax and enjoy Christmas!

I find the holiday season so interesting. Always filled with a hint a mediocre and a dash of sincerity. Around this time of year we find ourselves attending things we would never think about going and seeing. Such as a children's choir singing cheesy Christmas songs: Frosty the Snow Man, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and I ain't gettin' nuttin' for Christmas. Seeing about 50 odd children all lined up in a row wearing matching t-shirts and Santa Hats ranging from the traditional to a few anomolies: a blue Santa hat instead of red and a red hat with black trim.

Seeing the flood of happy parents glowing at their kids who were daring enough to stand mashed together on a set of risers and sing with a deer in the head lights look on their faces for some reason tends to put the American public in a Christmas mood.

Don't ask me why... I just thought of musing on this (go figure see title) and recalling the start of the season...

And then I think about when I was that age... and wearing a silly Santa hat (nothing strange about it except for a piece of holly on the side of it) and singing silly Christmas songs and performing in one of the churches Christmas plays. And also I recall playing the "O Christmas Tree" at the start of one of them.
Going Caroling.
Drinking Hot Chocolate.
Turning on the Christmas tree lights just to watch it glow...
... Christmas memories...

I just got done seeing one of Shorter's fine operas. It was amazing. The Medium is the ultimate Halloween opera. Very spooky.

Your weekly Bible verse:

Proverbs 12:23

A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself,

but the heart of fools blurts out folly.

Proverbs is totally awesome for good advice. This verse is basically saying that the smart/wise man knows when to stay silent, where the fool doesn't. Are there some crazy people at your school who are bothering you. Silence is an amazing weapon. Sooner or later those crazy people are going to get in trouble because of their mouths. Garuntee it.

Into the abyss....

So I hadn't looked at the whole blog thing in a while... so I decided today that I should update it... how knows... maybe somewhere out there in this big world someone may read it.
So I began college this year. I'm slowly getting adjusted to life and things seem to be going well. I'll try and update more when the occasion arises.
I was finally able to leave the country. I went to Argentina on a mission trip with my school. It was amazing and sadly enough I still have to scan photos of that into my computer. Sad day I know.

Yeah yeah yeah... I know I haven't posted... although I have a real good feeling no one ever looks at this this, so I guess I'm just sorta talking into thin air. Which I've always wondered that... why is it always thin air...why not chubby air... or muscular air even... oh well I'm getting off the subject that I originally wanted to start ... U^^ oops...
Anyway what I was going to say is that I will try and update you on my marvalous and fantastic cosplay journey! Yes that's right! I've cosplayed before (only once mind you at Momo-con and it ROCKED) BUT this time I am going to try and make the costume myself! Well... I can't really sew... so... BY MYSELF!... WITH A LITTLE HELP!
Hopefully I will be able to post a few pictures from Momo-con up here cuz that was soooooo much fun! I dressed up as Haruno Sakura from Naruto... My friend (who most of you know as Icho ^_^) Dressed up as Bell-dandy (sp?) from Oh! My Goddess... and my other friend who just wore my kimono and was aptly named Random Kimono Girl. Well that's all I got for now. I have to go to bed because I have to get up early in the morning... ^^U sigh oh well...

The Rock Lee and Sakura ficlet!

Sakura Haruno sat under one of her favorite trees…which was a cherry tree of course. She was staring off into space stroking her now short hair and remembering how she got it. She had grown…a lot. Was it more than that? Was cutting her hair symbolic for something else other than getting stronger and growing up a little bit more? So she sat there thinking intently about it.
Little did Sakura know that she was being watched. Up in one of the higher limbs of the tree sat Rock Lee. Gazing down at Sakura the only thing he could think about was how beautiful she was. He was lost in thought, too, but his thoughts were more romantic in nature. One was planning out how he was to impress her by doing 200 laps or 1000 push ups…one handed. Another was presenting Sakura with a dozen roses and a box of chocolates. And yet another was imagining what it would be like to kiss the angel that was sitting right below him.
Lee was so lost in thought, that he started losing balance on the limb from which he was so precariously perched. He fell, but landed on the limb right below him. He landed on his stomach but he tried not to make much of a sound. Lee didn’t want to interrupt Sakura’s train of thought. Sakura had better ears than Lee gave her credit for though. She heard a brief “oomph” and didn’t have to look up to know who it was. Sakura then decided that, since she was there and clearly bored, she might as well have a little fun with him.
“Now who on earth would be willing to take me to the Halloween festival next Friday?” she sighed, “Sasuke would never even think about it and Naruto…well, is Naruto.”
Rock Lee was now quivering in the branch that he then sat. Should he jump down and ask? Or should he instead run home first, change, buy some flowers and then ask? They were both good plans of action, but if he just jumped down he may frighten her and thus ruin his chance. He then looked at the other option. The flowers would improve his chances, but if he took the time to decide what kind of flowers she’d want someone might ask before him and then he’d have no chance with that angel. So, he sat there shaking in a dazed quorum of what to do.
Sakura figured Lee must have been weighing his options since he hadn’t jumped down yet. So, she thought that he needed just a little more motivation. She sighed heavily.
“If only I had some dashing Prince Charming to come to my rescue!” she said with a dramatic flourish. She knew this would be the icing on the cake, “But nobody in this village thinks I’m pretty or smart or-” Suddenly something large and green landed right next to her with a thud.
“THAT’S NOT TRUE!” Lee yelled. His love for Sakura got the better of him. He quit being indecisive said, “Darn the Torpedoes” and went for gusto. This probably would’ve been a very romantic scene…if (and there’s always an “if”) he had landed on his feet or knees instead of his butt.
Sakura couldn’t help but giggle. A: Her plan worked out perfectly and B: Lee seemed to fall from nowhere and land on his rear. Who wouldn’t laugh? She stifled it though. She saw Lee was not done with his display of affection.
“I think you are smart AND beautiful!” Lee was now on his knees, “I love you Sakura! I will be your Prince Charming and I will take you to the Halloween festival!” He looked right at her and Sakura had the strangest kind of expression he’d ever seen. It was something between a touched look and a face trying to suppress hysteria. It finally hit him what was going on.
“You knew I was up there,” He said very calmly.
She started to giggle and nodded in reply.
Rock Lee looked at the ground. He just made a complete idiot out of himself with a scene that he thought would have impressed the socks off of her.
“You…” He began.
“Yes,” Sakura now had regained control of her and was no longer laughing, “I planned it. I had to get you down from there somehow and next time when you are trying to be sneaky, try not to fall on your butt.”
Lee put his face in his hand. He couldn’t believe what he did.
“So when will you be picking me up?” Sakura asked as she was walking off.
Lee’s mouth hung agape. He then pulled himself together enough to say, “I-i-is 8 good?”
“Uh-huh! See you Friday,” She began walking home and left a very stupefied Lee in her wake.

Ok I know I said I would post fanfics here to and I probably still will, but finally fanfiction.com sent me the activation e-mail...after three weeks...I kid you not. It said to wait 24 hours and if it didn't work try again...well I did and tried again 3 times...and they send me two activation e-mails...oh well at least they finally arrived. I'm a big fan of Naruto along with other animes but this happens to be my current favorite! I saw this fanart for it and was practically on the floor laughing! If you've seen Naruto you'll get why it's so funny but if you haven't well you might think it's funny anyway. Note: I did not draw this. I do draw Naruto fanart, but this isn't one of mine.
